The Personal and Family Readiness Division (MR) under the staff cognizance of the Deputy Commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs is responsible for providing policy, plans, resources, and direct support to Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) field activities for certain nonappropriated fund management and oversight functions, such as accounting, information technology, and construction. Job Description
Position: Open: 19 October 2009 Close: Until filled Location: Personal and Family Readiness Division, HQMC Business Operations Branch (MRX) 3044 Catlin Avenue Quantico, VA 22134-5099

Type of Appointment: Flexible/Temporary Position/Not to Exceed 15 January 2010 (35-40 hours per week)

Tour of Duty: Monday through Friday **Tour of duty may change based upon work requirements**

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as a data entry clerk with responsibility for entering a variety of data. Utilize personal computer with various software to perform duties. Prepare reports and recaps on a periodic and regular basis, and/or upon request. Gather and/or file requested information. Respond to routine telephone calls and other inquiries. Monitors delivery and receipt of merchandise, and site pricing files. Report discrepancies to buyer for resolution. Effectively communicate with buyer, vendors, and field personnel. Perform general clerical duties as assigned.


Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: One to two years experience with spreadsheet and word processing software packages. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to apply the mechanics of purchasing and common business practices. Knowledge of general clerical procedures.
